Important Messages to Parents:
August 1, 2022
Dear Parents/Guardians & PJUSD Staff:
In our efforts to keep our students and staff safe, our schools will continue participating in the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) COVID-19 testing program for students and staff who become symptomatic while on campus.
The CDPH COVID-19 testing program allows for observed self-administered, non-invasive, low nasal swab, rapid antigen test to be administered to students and staff when experiencing COVID-19 symptoms at school. The rapid antigen test provides results within 15-30 minutes, is free of charge, and is available for ages 4 and older.
If your child tests positive for COVID-19, you will be contacted to pick up your child and begin the quarantine process. If staff tests positive, they will leave their worksite promptly and begin the quarantine process.
As of June 30, 2022 all previously signed consents have expired and therefore students and staff will need to provide consent for the 2022-2023 school year.
This notification is to inform you that you will be receiving a text or email from Primary Health to sign an electronic consent form for the 2022-2023 school year. Electronic consent has been provided this year for your convenience as well as record-keeping purposes.
In the coming days, please be on the lookout for a message from Primary Health containing the new consent form for the COVID-19 testing program and complete the verification before returning to school/work on Thursday, August 11, 2022.
Thank you for your commitment to keeping our students and schools safe!
