Measure E

Thanks for Supporting

We are thrilled to announce that the district's general obligation bond, Measure E, has passed with over the 55% required. The $74 million bond will fund new school facilities to reduce overcrowding, expand vocational education, and modernize classrooms. We appreciate the community's support in this significant initiative for our schools. In the coming months, we'll determine the initial amount for starting the projects and establish an oversight committee for fiscal responsibility. Our district will also begin work on smaller projects, like the new gym at Patterson High School, and provide regular updates on Measure E progress.

At the PJUSD Board of Trustees Meeting last night, the Board approved four volunteers for our CBOC: Yvonne Reynolds, Valerie Benavides, Mark Khun, and Erica Ayala.

We thank these members for volunteering to participate in the oversight committee for Measure E. Not only does their participation fulfill our obligation under law, but more importantly they add an essential layer of transparency and oversight for our district.

Our district is grateful to have been trusted by our community to carry out the projects described in the bond, and we are thankful to have committed community representatives such as these individuals to hold our district accountable.

At this time, our district is still actively looking to fill a few more seats on this committee. Interested members of the community are encouraged to complete the application available online on our district's website.
