Peachjar

Our schools have transitioned from paper flyers to a more eco-friendly option: Peachjar. Peachjar is an electronic flyer management system that allows community partners to generate, upload, and distribute flyers directly to parents and guardians. As part of our ongoing efforts to be more environmentally friendly, Peachjar promotes our paperless initiative while also helping streamline communication between our schools, families, and the community.

This “green” initiative saves thousands of sheets of paper and reduces copy costs by thousands of dollars each year. Posting flyers in this electronic “backpack” also removes a significant administrative burden from teachers, office staff, and volunteers.

Peachjar is used exclusively for the distribution of district-approved flyers from outside community organizations. Your email address will not be shared or used for any other purpose. Thank you for supporting our efforts to ensure families are well informed about local programs, activities, and events.

COMMUNITY GROUPS AND OUTSIDE ORGANIZATIONS

Our district cooperates with approved community partners by posting e-flyers online and distributing them electronically through Peachjar. As part of our efforts to be more environmentally friendly, embrace innovative technology, and maintain fiscal responsibility, we have transitioned from paper to electronic flyer delivery.

Outside organizations are responsible for creating and managing their own Peachjar accounts.

How to Submit a Flyer

  1. Create a Peachjar Account

    • Visit www.peachjar.com

    • Click Sign Up → select Community Organization

    • Complete your account setup.
       

  2. Upload Your Flyer

    • Select Patterson Joint USD as your district.

    • Enter your event details (dates, contact info, registration links, etc.).

    • Attach your flyer in PDF format (maximum 4 pages).

    • Flyers should be bilingual when possible.
       

  3. Pay the Distribution Fee (if applicable)

    • Peachjar charges a small fee per flyer unless your organization qualifies for a fee waiver account (e.g., certain nonprofits, government agencies), which is determined by Peachjar.

    • After creating your account, you may contact support@peachjar.com to find out about the fee waiver account.
       

  4. District Review

    • All flyers must meet PJUSD’s flyer distribution criteria before being approved.

    • Flyers must be submitted at least 5 business days in advance of the desired posting date.
       

  5. Distribution Schedule

    • Approved flyers are emailed directly to parents/guardians and posted on school Peachjar pages on Tuesdays and Thursdays

FLYER DISTRIBUTION CRITERIA

Peachjar flyers are intended for instant communication between approved community organizations and PJUSD families for the purposes of sharing information about school and community events, activities, and programs. They are not intended for commercial use, solicitation, advertising, or matters unrelated to PJUSD students, parents, or staff.

All approved flyers must:

  • Be available in bilingual format when possible.

  • Be intended specifically for PJUSD students and parents.*

  • Promote a local community event, activity, or program that is educational, recreational, or enrichment-focused.

  • Must not conflict with an existing district-sponsored program/event/service.

  • Comply with all applicable Board policies and district standards.

*Mandatory for all flyers.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER

Outside organizations will need to accept the following disclaimer upon requesting approval from Peachjar. Once uploaded your flyer will be automatically submitted to the District for review and approval. 

THE FOLLOWING MUST APPEAR ON THE FLYER:
"This event/activity/program is not sponsored by the Patterson Joint Unified School District. Approval to distribute flyers is a community service rather than an endorsement."

PAPER COPIES

PJUSD primarily distributes flyers electronically through Peachjar. On occasions, paper flyer distribution at school sites may be permitted for outside organizations.

To request paper distribution:

  1. The flyer must first be uploaded to and approved through Peachjar.

  2. After approval, contact the PJUSD Communications Office to request paper distribution.

  3. The Communications Office will coordinate with the school site administrator to ensure distribution does not conflict with school schedules, processes, or other activities.

After this has occurred, paper flyers from outside organizations may be permitted to be made available at or near the school’s front counter (space permitting) and/or be distributed to staff at the administrator’s discretion.
