Peachjar

Our schools have transitioned from paper flyers to a more eco-friendly option: Peachjar. Peachjar is an electronic-based flyer management system that allows district staff and community partners to generate, upload, and distribute flyers directly to students, parents, and school staff. As part of our ongoing efforts to move towards a more environmentally-friendly school district, Peachjar will help promote a paperless initiative, while additionally assisting to streamline our network of communication between our school staff, parents, and community partners.

This "green" initiative will save our schools tons of paper and reduce copy costs by thousands of dollars. On top of that, posting school flyers in this electronic backpack removes a significant administrative burden from teachers, office staff, and volunteers. 

This system is used exclusively for distribution of school-approved flyers. Your email address will not be shared or used for any other purpose. Thank you for supporting our efforts to ensure parents are well informed about school programs, activities, and events.

COMMUNITY GROUPS AND OUTSIDE ORGANIZATIONS

Our district cooperates with approved community partners by posting eflyers online and distributing them electronically through our service provider, Peachjar. As part of our efforts to be more environmentally friendly, embrace innovative technology, and maintain fiscal responsibility, we have transitioned from paper to electronic flyer delivery.

To request flyer approval, follow the steps below. Once approved, your flyer will be emailed to all parents and posted online. Paper flyers from outside organizations will no longer be distributed.

• Visit www.peachjar.com
• Register as a program provider. (account type).
• Upload your flyer for approval.

Your flyer will be automatically submitted to the district office. District staff will review the material and approve or deny based on the standards below. Peachjar charges a fee for this service that is typically much less than the cost to copy and deliver paper flyers to each school. 

NOTE:  If you are a parent group or District staff, these instructions do not apply.  

FLYER DISTRIBUTION CRITERIA

Peachjar flyers are intended for instant communication between district staff, parent organizations, community partners and organizations, and students, parents, and school staff for the purposes of distribution of information regarding school and community events, activities, and programs. It is not intended for commercial use, to solicit advertisement, or matters that do not pertain to PJUSD students, parents, or staff. Although PJUSD reserves the right to approve or deny any request submitted, the following criteria will be considered for all approved flyers:
 

• The flyer is available in a bilingual format
• The flyer is intended specifically for school site students and parents*
• The flyer promotes a school site or District-wide event/activity/program
• The flyer promotes a local community event/activity/program

 *criteria are mandatory for all flyers.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER

Outside organizations will need to accept the following disclaimer upon requesting approval from Peachjar. Once uploaded your flyer will be automatically submitted to the District for review and approval. 

THE FOLLOWING MUST APPEAR ON THE FLYER:
"This event/activity/program is not sponsored by the Patterson Joint Unified School District. Approval to distribute flyers is a community service rather than an endorsement."

PAPER COPIES

Outside organization will be able to make available a small stack of paper flyers, but they will need to FIRST have it uploaded and approved with Peachjar before doing so. Once the flyer is uploaded to Peachjar and it appears on school websites this will act as approval.  The organization can then give the flyers to the school office, where they will be made available at or near the front counter.  No paper copies will be given to teachers or staff to distribute to students for taking home.
