Career Technical Education/Workforce Preparation

Career Technical Education (CTE) and Workforce Preparation in a school district focuses on equipping students with practical skills, industry knowledge, and work-related experiences that prepare them for successful careers and further education. This department bridges the gap between education and the workforce by providing students with the tools they need to thrive in their chosen fields.

Patterson's Career Technical Education Pathways engages students in hands-on, skill-based programs to prepare them with skills that are useful regardless of their post-secondary plans. They will use these skills when they go to college, enter the workforce, or pursue trade school trade school or apprenticeships.

It is our mission to train students with real-world applicable skills by training them in industries that are in demand in the local labor market. Students will have access to a plethora of knowledge, practical skill-building, professional skills, and industry-recognized certifications aimed at preparing them for life after high school.

We encourage all students to consider taking a CTE pathway that fits their interests and future career planning.
